Alice Brown is sent to Kuwait as a missionary by the Africa World Missions in Nigeria. When she gets there, she and the other missionaries encounter stiff opposition and gruesome hostility from the Moslems in the area.  After sometime however, she eventually meets Abdul Hassan, the head of the Movement, who is strongly attracted to her. He tries unsuccessfully to blackmail her into marriage- the only condition he offers to allow her and the other missionaries get on with their work in Kuwait.
